Hamburg & Sam Smith

Hello all! It's been a little while since I've posted on here...sorry! These past few months have been the CRAZIEST of my life (as you will see).

So, we're going to have to back up for a moment. On April 27, 2018, three other exchange students and I set out on a journey. We hopped on a bus in Aarhus and rode it all the way down to Hamburg, Germany!

It was a pretty long journey; by bus it took about eight hours to get down there, with only one stop at the border. We were very tired when we arrived, and hungry!

After we arrived and checked into our hostel (which was beautiful by the way), we set out to find a place to eat, and we found one! We were craving burgers, and by some miracle were able to find Dulf's.

Maybe it was because we were so hungry and tired, but those burgers were the best we had ever had. Each one we got was absolutely delicious, we couldn't stop talking about them for the rest of the night! If you ever find yourself in Hamburg, I HIGHLY recommend going to Dulf's. You will not be disappointed!

The next day we spend sightseeing Hamburg. It's a really beautiful city, and pretty easy to navigate. Two of the exchange students I was with had studied German in school, which made it a lot easier.

For lunch we found ourselves in a large park, where we were able to find a street vendor and enjoy our meal sitting in the flowers:) We also got some really good salted caramel ice cream for dessert!

When we got back to the hostel, we prepared for the reason we really came to Hamburg...we were going to a Sam Smith concert! Luckily for us the hostel we were staying in was just down the street from the venue, so we were able to walk there no problem. There were so many people there, it was such an amazing experience!

Sam was absolutely incredible, he has a voice spun of pure gold. I had such a fun time with my friends and was so grateful we got the opportunity to take such an amazing trip together.

Here's a little snippet from the concert...

And now I'd like to give a huge thank you to Meredith Palin! Thank you SO much for donating to my GoFundMe, it's because of your donation that I was able to go to Hamburg and make all of these incredible memories! Thank you soso much, I will never be able to express my gratitude enough.
